Eligibility Criteria for Subclass 190 Visa

To be eligible for a Subclass 190 visa, you must meet the following requirements:

1. Eligible Occupation

Your occupation must be featured on the relevant Skilled Occupation List issued by the Australian Government.

2. Positive Skills Assessment

You must possess a valid Skills Assessment from the relevant assessing authority for your nominated occupation.

3. Points Test Requirement

A minimum of 65 points is required; however, the actual competitive score may be higher depending on your occupation.

4. State Nomination

You must receive an official Invitation to Apply (ITA) from an Australian state or territory to lodge your Subclass 190 visa application.

Submit your Expression of Interest (EOI) through the SkillSelect system and wait for the Department's ranking process.

Receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA)

If your points score meets the competitive threshold, you will receive an official Invitation to Apply (ITA) for the visa.

Visa Lodgement Stage

Lodge your formal visa application within 60 days of receiving your invitation. All supporting documents must be submitted at this stage.

Application Assessment & Outcome Stage

Monitor the processing status of your application. Once the Department completes its assessment, you will receive your Visa Grant notification.
