Eligibility Criteria for Subclass 482 Visa

To be eligible for a Skills in Demand (SID) Subclass 482visa,you must meet the following requirements:

Employer Sponsorship

Be sponsored by an approved employer that holds a Standard Business Sponsorship (SBS) or has an approved Labour Agreement, with a genuine position available in Australia.

Occupation

The nominated occupation must be eligible under the relevant Subclass 482 stream (Core Skills stream, Specialist Skills stream, or Labour Agreement stream).

Work experience

Have at least At least 1 year of relevant work experience within the last 5 years in the nominated occupation or meet the specific work experience requirements of the applicable stream.

Skills and Qualifications

Meet the required skills, qualifications, licensing, or registration requirements (where applicable) for the nominated occupation.

English

Meet the English language requirements specified by the Department of Home Affairs or under the applicable Labour Agreement.

Salary Requirement

Your proposed salary must satisfy the applicable minimum income threshold by DHA and be consistent with the Australian market salary rate requirements.

Health and Character Requirements

Complete the required health examinations using your HAP ID.
If you have lived in any country for 12 months or more within the last 10 years, you will be required to provide a police clearance certificate from that country.

Additional Requirements (if applicable)

Some occupations or Labour Agreement programs may impose additional requirements relating to age, work experience, qualifications, or occupational licensing/registration.
