In 2022, Tuan Do - a MARA registered agent living and working in Australia - realized a stark truth: thousands of skilled Vietnamese individuals harboured the dream of calling Australia home, yet few had a true partner to walk beside them. Between the maze of complex information, ever-shifting regulations, and daunting professional barriers, far too many were forced to give up on their journey halfway
From that deep-seated concern, Skill Direct was born. We began in a modest office with just three members, yet every heart in that room beat with a single, unyielding resolve: to turn the Australian dream into reality for every Vietnamese - and to leave no one behind.

In 2017, I arrived in Australia on a 189 visa as a young Vietnamese engineer. My luggage was light, but my heart was heavy with grand expectations for the future.
Looking back, the path was remarkably smooth. At that time, policies were flexible, points thresholds remained accessible, and the doors to residency stood wide open for skilled professionals. Having navigated that 'breathing room' myself, it is the stark contrast with today’s landscape that weighs heavily on my mind.
And just a few years later, everything had changed completely.
Policies tightened. Points skyrocketed. Procedures grew increasingly opaque. I witnessed far too many talented, experienced Vietnamese professionals lost in a 'maze' of information, uncertain of where to begin and lacking a true partner to navigate the long journey toward Australian residency.
That was when the path became clear. Not because I know every answer, but because I have lived in that very journey. The gap between navigating a maze alone and having a lighthouse to follow is immense, and it's a gap that must be bridged.
And so, Skill Direct was born. Built from the perspective of someone who has walked this path, understanding both the urgency of the journey and the weight of the wait, there are no empty promises here. The only commitment is a genuine partnership, anchored in transparency and profound companionship every step of the way.
