Recognised Qualification Pathway
For applicants with an engineering qualification recognised under one of the following pathways:
- Australian qualification
- Washington Accord
- Dublin Accord
- Sydney Accord
Applicants generally do not need to prepare a CDR, which can help streamline the assessment process.
Non-Recognised Qualification Pathway
For applicants with an engineering qualification that is not recognised by Engineers Australia.
Applicants are required to prepare a Competency Demonstration Report (CDR). This pathway generally involves more documentation and preparation than the recognised qualification pathway.
Suitable for: Applicants with qualifications from Vietnam and many other institutions or countries whose engineering qualifications are not recognised under the relevant accreditation pathways.

Three reports based on engineering projects or academic work you have undertaken, focusing on your personal role, tasks and engineering solutions. Each Career Episode should generally be 1,000–2,500 words..

A summary of your engineering competencies, where you cross-reference relevant sections from your three Career Episodes against the applicable Engineers Australia Competency Elements.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
A record of learning and professional development activities undertaken after completing your engineering qualification, including relevant courses, training, seminars, and certifications, with a focus on CPD activities from the past three years.
