Subclass 191 Visa Streams

Regional provisional stream
- Must have held a qualifying provisional visa for at least three years.
- No employer sponsorship or nomination is required.
- You must demonstrate a taxable income at or above the prescribed threshold for at least 3 years while holding a qualifying visa.

Hong Kong stream
- Must hold a Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) passport or a British National (Overseas) [BN(O)] passport.
- No employer sponsorship or nomination is required.
- Must meet specific residential requirements and comply with all relevant visa conditions.
Subclass 191 visa Application Process

Eligibility Assessment
- You must hold an eligible visa for at least 3 years, and complied with the conditions of that visa
- For the Regional provisional stream, you must provide notices of assessment issued by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) for three income years out of the five years of your eligible visa
- For the Hong Kong stream, you must satisfy the residence requirements in a designated regional area.
