The subclass 482 (Skills in Demand) visa is a temporary skilled migration pathway that allows Australian employers to sponsor overseas workers to fill positions where suitable local workers cannot be found.
This subclass allows Australian employers to sponsor suitably skilled overseas workers to fill positions where they are unable to source appropriately qualified and experienced Australian workers.

Eligibility Criteria for Subclass 482 Visa
To be eligible for a Skills in Demand (SID) Subclass 482visa,you must meet the following requirements:
Employer Sponsorship
Be nominated for a position by an approved Australian sponsoring employer (such as a Standard Business Sponsor or Labour Agreement).
Occupation
The nominated occupation must be eligible under the relevant Subclass 482 stream (Core Skills stream, Specialist Skills stream, or Labour Agreement stream).
Work experience
Have at least one year of relevant work experience in the nominated occupation or meet the specific work experience requirements of the applicable stream.
Skills and Qualifications
Meet the required skills, qualifications, licensing, or registration requirements (where applicable) for the nominated occupation.
English
Meet the English language requirements specified by the Department of Home Affairs or the relevant Labour Agreement.
Salary
The nominated salary must satisfy the applicable minimum income threshold by DHA and be consistent with the Australian market salary rate requirements.
Health and Character Requirements
Complete the required health examinations using your HAP ID.
If you have lived in any country for 12 months or more within the last 10 years, you will be required to provide a police clearance certificate from that country.
Additional Requirements (if applicable)
Some occupations or Labour Agreement programs may impose additional requirements relating to age, work experience, qualifications, or occupational licensing/registration.
